This has been a historic weekend for Torrot & GasGas in the TrialGP of Belgium. Loris Gubian has won the TrialE World Championship that Marc Colomer won last season. On his GasGas TXE, the French rider managed to overcome the pressure and achieve victory in Comblain-au-Pont.
Gubian arrived in Belgium in the second position of the World Championship and with the victory in the Belgian Trial he made it into the first place in the overall standings. With this victory, GasGas has achieved victory in both the TrialE World Championships that have been held so far. Both of them with the GasGas TXE, the only electric motorcycle manufactured in series with technological collaboration from Torrot, coming with mechanical clutch and six-speed gearbox.
MARC COLOMER (GasGas Factory Trial Team Manager):
"This weekend was a final for the TrialE World Championship. It was a day of ups and downs but finally we were able to win the World Championship even fighting against a great brand like Yamaha. We have not had any problems with the bike in the two races that have been held and that shows that it is more than ready for production.”
LORIS GUBIAN (2018 TrialE World Champion):
"I am very happy with the win and having achieved victory in the TrialE World Championship. I got a strange 5 in the first zone of the second round, but in the end I got a win. Unlike in the TrialGP of France, here if you make a mistake you can recover and that's how it was. It was a complicated day, due to the pressure that the situation implied, but we have succeeded. I am happy with today's work, happy for GasGas, for my assistant, for my family... I want to thank the great work of the whole team. Thanks to all of you!."
